The Truth Is...

Updated: Sep 5, 2018

I studied to become a Celebrant because I knew that marriage equality was close to being realised here in Australia.

Kate Morgan, Celebrant

I grew up amongst the gay community (in fact both of my parents, Mum & Dad are gay) and wanted to be a part of that change.

Today I’m thrilled to be able to help all Australian couples create the kind of ceremonies that are meaningful to them. Usually, that’s one with a relaxed, fun vibe and probably a few happy tears thrown in!

After the wedding day, I often get an email from my beautiful couples or Facebook review with comments like “The ceremony was the best part of our day!” OR “All of our guests loved it and thought you’d known us for years!” OR “Can we do it all over again?”

That’s when I’m reminded that I do have the best job in the world!

Other things about me: I'm always up for a chat, I'm all about a good gin & tonic (not fussy about which gin!) I used to be an amazing cake baker but now get my creative hit from writing love stories for my weddings. I have one beautiful husband & two divine boys… and one day I plan to become a Meditation Teacher.

Working as a celebrant, brings together my skills in writing and public speaking, honed during the ten years I ran my own business as a PR consultant.
