Famous 'train proposal' couple get hitched! Melbourne Celebrant shares all the beautiful photos...

Updated: Oct 20, 2020

Do you remember Train Boy & Train Girl? Talk about the sweetest proposal ever! Sooo sweet in fact that this one went VIRAL! (Much to Hannah & Ryan's amazement!)

News outlets from Melbourne to the UK jumped on this train! The couple were featured on The Project, The Sydney Morning Herald and even the BBC, to name a few.

In March 2017, the daring Ryan went down on one knee aboard a peak hour Melbourne train to ask the beautiful Hannah, for her hand in marriage.

The couple first met on the Frankston Line after awkwardly checking each other out for months & months on their daily trip to work. Remarkably, they’d both named the other ‘Train Boy’ & ‘Train Girl’, long before they’d ever spoken.

Ten years after they began dating, Ryan decided to try something a little bit different as Hannah herself had told him "Make sure you surprise me!" Little did they know the video Metro Trains filmed would ensure their 5 minutes of fame, whether they liked it or not.

After leaving for a romantic weekend immediately following the proposal, Hannah and Ryan were shocked to find the extent to which the news had travelled. Many of their friends first heard their news in the media.

Earlier this year, I had the privilege of marrying Train Boy to Train Girl in a heartwarming, fun and very relaxed ceremony at Tucks Ridge in Victoria’s Yarra Valley. They were surrounded by all their most special people, the sun was out and it was a truly beautiful day.

As well as having a legendary story, Hannah & Ryan are about the loveliest couple you could ever meet - both inside and out, sooo… Lucky Me Huh? #bestjobever
